1. Regardless of whether a project was successful or not, describe the one where you learned, grew, or developed the most from? Please explain. I think i developed the most from doing any kind of pen art. The reason for this is because if you mess up it's really difficult to fix. So messing up taught me new ways of fixing it and that it's not always a bad thing if things don't go as planned. 2. What did you find most difficult about this class? What could be done to solve this problem in the issue? The most difficult thing for me was thinking of things to draw or paint. Especially with the last project, since it was so broad, it was hard for me to think of things to do. Honestly, i think over the semester i have become a lot better at using my imagination and being more creative. It's still difficult sometimes, but it's easier to think of things to do now. 3.Do over: If given the opportunity, which project would you do over? Describe why and how you would redo this project. If i had the opportunity, I would re-do my art journaling. I really didn't like the way mine turned out. I had a good plan for it, but it just didn't work out. I would re-do it by just choosing different things and mediums to use for my layers. 4. Sketchbook: pick any warm-up from your sketchbook that you found beneficial, interesting or simply felt you handled well. Describe the activity and reason for selecting it above others. I really enjoyed doing the facial feature drawings. It was really beneficial to me because i stink at drawing noses. I do wish though that we would have finished it, but even just doing the eye and nose helped. I selected it above others because it's something i really wanted to work on. 5. How does art influence the design of products historically? Art is the basis of multiple products in the industry today. For example, back then pottery makers would make their pots have curved edges and rounder shapes. Today modern bottles use the same shape idea from the pottery art back then. Another example would be the work of Keith Herring. His at work inspired a clothing like in Forever 21! Art is very important in modern society I could not get the picture to load onto my blog, but here is a link to one of Keith Herring's works. https://integratedartsacademy.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/keith_haring.png |
